If you’re looking for more of a destination dining spot than the Espresso Bar, Harvey Nichols also has a signature restaurant up on the fourth floor – with a glam food store in front, bar to one side and an open-plan dining room on the other, with terrace views over the rooftops of central Leeds. It has a thoroughly modern menu – there’s a lot of pan-searing, chargrilling, jus-splashing, braising and glazing going on – and prices reflect the surroundings, but you do get whip-smart service and beautifully presented dishes. Menus switch around according to the time of day, with separate breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea options available.
