Set up by Wilfred and Jeannette Cass as part of their mission to enhance the public appreciation of contemporary sculpture and to support artists, this is an art gallery with a difference. All the works are hidden away in 26 acres of woods and glades in the Goodwood Estate, and locating them all is part of the adventure. The Foundation has commissioned some 400 works over the past couple of decades by a host of leading sculptors – of the likes of Tony Cragg, Mark Quinn and Antony Gormley. All items are for sale, and you can pick up art works for £50, though the top end is seriously pricey – the most expensive have been priced at a cool £1.5 million. You never quite know what you’ll find from one month to the next, so this is somewhere to return to again and again. Goodwood House is a short drive away.
