Dining at celebrity chef Marco Pierre's Steakhouse and Grill is an elevating experience in more ways than one. Firstly, the restaurant is set 25 floors up in the canalside Cube complex, crowning an already coruscating building with a glass alfresco balcony; second and perhaps more important, its steak menu is truly something special. It's not cheap, but whether you decide to opt for the 10oz rib eye or the 16oz T-bone, you should come away well stuffed - especially, if you try the heavenly sticky toffee puddings for dessert. The rooftop terrace and champagne bar – not to mention the views – make this a great place for a special occasion. Many would argue that the filmic views belie a humdrum menu that lacks culinary flair. For us, the views and the food are in perfect accord – indeed if you just fancy a decent steak somewhere more sumptuous than a pub, there really are no rivals.
