With a wide and wild variety of marine life on display, Birmingham's Sealife Centre offers a fascinating glimpse into the world beneath the sea. Among the amazing aquarium attractions are giant turtles, rays and hammerhead sharks, all of which swim overhead as visitors are guided down an underwater tunnel to enjoy the unimpeded view of creatures of the deep. Impressive as that is though, the Sealife Centre is more than just an aquatic showroom. Feeding demonstrations with the otters are particularly entertaining for youngsters, who will enjoy watching these sweet animals at play. Especially enjoyable, though, is the Interactive Rockpool which allows visitors to put their hands into the marine world and handle a variety of shelled creatures and starfish – close encounters overseen by marine experts who make sure these interactive sessions are as entertaining as they are educational.
