The largest project of its kind outside London, Millennium Point was built as part of Birmingham's regeneration. An imposing monolithic glass structure, it is mainly a hub for business and technology, but it also houses Thinktank, an interactive science museum spread over four floors. One of the more prominent features in the museum is the Digital Planetarium, which comprises of a 360˚ digital dome illuminated with captivating images of the galaxy. Away from space exploration, there is a multitude of displays and activities that cover all subjects, including a look into how doctors perform life-saving surgery. All in all it's a perfect platform for children to discover and learn about the world around them.
