The Birmingham Hippodrome is one of the UK's largest touring venues, and, with around 500,000 bums taking seats each year, it's also one of the busiest. The inexorable cries of "he's behind you" and "oh yes it is" may fill the theatre when panto season swings round but when fairy godmothers aren't treading the boards, the Hippodrome is home to a smorgasbord of productions: world-class opera, ballet and West End Shows are all regularly staged here. The glass-fronted theatre is also home to the Circle restaurant, serving expertly presented seasonal dishes, and the Deli Bar, which is ideal for those just wanting a quick bite to eat.
