Descend into this non-descript-looking basement for the most innovative cocktails in the city. The vaulted confines are cosy – and pulsate on weekends, when Bath's beautiful people come to party. The cocktails are good: classics, such as mojitos and caipirinhas, sit next to espresso martinis and grenoble flips (maraschino liqueur meets eggs and nutmeg). If there isn't a tipple you fancy, ask the bar staff to make you a new one. And, on a balmy eve, drink it out on the classy champagne terrace, a great city-centre outside space.
