The only proper pub in the busy, trendy and well-to-do North Oxford suburb of Summertown, but luckilly it's a good one, with a good food and drinks selection, 2 bars (1 large, 1 small) and outdoor seating at the front and back. There are a few screens showing sport, but they are out of the way enough to never to be too intrusive. Good prices (not the cheapest, but not over-the-top). Out of the main tourist areas, so only one for those who happen to be around Summertown. The outside tables at the front don't offer the greatest views in the world, but are always packed on sunny days – ideal for watching the world go busily by over a cold pint.
