It’s worth taking a five-minute stroll out of the city centre, and over Magdalen Bridge, to Café Coco, which serves great food – pizzas in particular – in spectacularly opulent surroundings. All the sculptures are weird but interesting, but make sure you don’t miss the naked-man-in-the-bath which doubles as an ice cream machine. Good to combine with a trip to the Kazbar and perhaps catch an art-house flick at the Ultimate Picture Palace in Cowley – and to just feel the cool, unpretentious vibe of the Cowley Road.

My partner and I went here a few months ago and had such a great night. We were looking for something quirky and stylish and this was just perfect! The naked-man-in-a-bath ice cream machine was slightly disturbing, but a great idea!!
Definitely worth a visit!
