Both Moorish and moreish, this little Spanish/Moroccan combo is like walking into Oxford’s own souk, with tapas the specialty. Cocktails, and particularly sangria washes it all down well, and the decor is pleasingly exotic. Don’t miss the half-price tapas until 7pm on weeknights or before 4pm on weekends.

I have many fond memories of whiling away a post-work hour or two in here - Kazbar is great for making you feel like you're on holiday rather than in the midst of everyday Oxford life. There's a nice drinks list, the tapas is tasty and the staff friendly. It always seems a shame that the largest seating section is reserved for customers who are eating, so often is fairly empty on a weeknight while the drinkers are cramped in around the bar. But overall it's a great little spot.
