Right across the road from the How Hill Estate, this is arguably one of the most tranquil places to stay in the Broads, a restored grain mill with accommodation for up to four people, with a living area on one floor with kitchen, dining area and sofa bed, together with a bathroom and bedroom and a small upstairs bedroom. Elizabeth Ellis-Paul has lived here for 30 years, and it’s easy to see why: it’s a marvellously peaceful Broadland spot, just two minutes’ walk from the river, on which it has its own mooring. Indeed the best way to come – and stay – here by boat (your own or rented).
