A secluded glamping and camping site at the heart of the Norfolk Broads, with tents, lodges and more.

We say

About a mile from the river at Thurne, this site, fashioned by John Lindsay out of the wooded grounds of his home at Clippesby Hall, pretty much has it all: a wonderful location with lots of trees for secluded camping, and a position that’s perfect for cycling and walking and exploring the Broads by boat. It has great facilities too – its own pub, a very nice outdoor pool hard up against the hall, bike rental and a well-priced café – and, what’s more, the people who run the place are passionate about their site and the Broads, for which they have lots of suggestions for cycle route, boat trips, walking routes and more. They have built some great wooden lodges in the trees, too, and they’re putting in more gravel pitches for year-round camping while managing to keep the sheltered, marvellously bucolic feel of the site. They offer trips with the CanoeMan too, so you can easily get out on the water, while the coast at Winterton is just a short distance away. Camping and glamping heaven.
