Strut offers pre-loved clothes with a cut more designer dash than the other vintage stores on Church Street – the fact that they stock only designer garb from the 1930s to the present day means that you could pick up anything from an original Celia Birtwell print to a Jil Sander separate. The shop window lures you in with its witty displays of the best frocks and suits, and staff are unfailingly friendly. Prices, of course, are a little higher than at your average rummage store, but this is top-of-the-range stuff, and there are bargains to be found (if you can tear yourself away from the Westwoods and the Diors).
