Durbar is proud of its prize-winning Indian cuisine, which is just as well, as they wouldn't win any prizes for their decor. The service is attentive and the food is great, however, which is what counts, especially if you're tired of Modern European Fusion and want a great Gosht Hindustani or any other Northern Indian dish. The emphasis on good quality ingredients, and they have now started to offer food inspired by the cuisine all over India, which has earned them rave reviews from the likes of Marco Pierre White – not an easy man to please. The restaurant is part of a constellation of superb restaurants at this end of the street, including Hafez, Inaho and Hereford Road.
