This warmly atmospheric pub is a fixture on Broadway Market, serving great Belgian beers (look out for their Belgian beer festival) and real ales. With wood panelling and battered chunky furniture, it’s a comforting winter refuge, and in summer you can sit outside on the lively street. They serve a stonking Saturday brunch, with ingredients from the street’s Saturday food market: it's the one day of the week when the pub is guaranteed to be packed. Plus there are sturdy mains served nightly, including good fish, Belgian-style chips, burgers, stews and sausages. Downstairs is an incongruously flashy unisex bathroom.
