The prettiest cakes you’ll ever see: cupcakes with delicate natural icings, Amish whoopie pies in interesting flavours including rosewater and pistachio, and other goodies such as fresh ginger and molasses cake. The decor is pared-down East London cool, with nice touches, including handwritten labels for the cakes and baking trays hung on the walls. As well as the little café on secluded Wilton Way, part of a developing strip of cute cafés and shops, Violet also operates one of the most popular and long-established stalls on Broadway Market, held every Saturday.
