Every Camdenite has a soft spot for the Elephant's Head. It's been here a long time, and is one of a handful of pubs which stay open till 2am on a Sunday. it's also resolutely resistant to change, a fairly typical London watering hole in a two-pints-of-lager-and-a-packet-of-crisps vein, with a retro and slightly mesmerising juke box, good standard pub grub, along with British drink classics like mulled wine in the winter and Pims in the summer. A good, trad alternative among the more dedicated fashion-following bars that surround it.
