4 Harrowside West Blackpool FY4 1NW 01253 343 900
A name straight out of Miami, a boutique guest house that's all Blackpool – the near-as-dammit seafront South Beach is the small-but-perfectly-formed hotel venture from the owners of Number One St Luke's B&B in the same neighbourhood. Here you get a choice of fourteen rooms with names like "Passion" and "Decadence", many with balconies and sea and promenade views, all with a chic, modern Blackpool style – king-sized beds and whirlpool baths are standard, while two of the front rooms ("Indulge" and "Spirit") have contemporary four-posters and spacious balconies. The in-house bar is always open for guests while a bookings-only restaurant takes care of lazy nights when all you want to do is chill, South-Beach style. You're also really handy for the Pleasure Beach, a short walk away, or you can jump on a seafront tram up to the Tower and the town centre, so it's a good place to leave the car at home – unless it's an electric one of course, in which case you can charge it around the corner at Number One St Luke's!
