Run by the indefatigable Veronica and her family and friends, Tea & Times is a welcoming café-cum-newsagent (plenty to read, but don’t make the mistake of thinking it’s free). As well as coffee, hot chocolate and teas, there’s a wide range of home-made sandwiches and cakes, plus soup, jacket potatoes and cooked breakfasts. The prime table is upstairs, in the first floor window, but when it’s busy (often) you may have to sit at the bar. There is no table service and a truly laid back atmosphere, a good place to relax with friends or grab a light bite.
