Raised on a platform above Canterbury's superb Goods Shed farmers' market, this restaurant offers a regularly changing menu using ingredients sourced from the market stalls around it. Cooking is modern English – you might find Kentish ranger chicken and black pudding, or wild bass with razor clams and seabeet – and the atmosphere informal. It’s best at lunchtime (or for hearty Full English breakfasts, which you pay for per item); the space can feel a bit bleak in the evening when the market has closed, especially in winter.
