A stylish seaside self-catering escape for families and groups, with dramatic views from every window.
33 Moray Avenue Birchington Kent CT7 9UN 07739850975
Perched high on the clifftop above the sumptuous sandy beach at Minnis Bay, Birchington, on the north Kent coast, Seascape is aptly named – a fabulous detached house that has dramatic views of the sea from every window. It's a large property, with rooms for 10–12 guests, so is perfect for parties and family get-togethers.
It's very well-appointed too, with four bedrooms – two doubles (one of which is en-suite), one twin and another with bunk beds. There are smart TVs in every bedroom, a large sitting room-cum-dining room, with loads of seating – including a sofa bed – and a table that can host up to 10 people, who can sit and eat while enjoying the views through the patio doors. It's a light and sunny property in summer, and a cosy one during the winter months, with gas central heating and a wood burner, and a contemporary L-shaped kitchen-sitting room with marble worktops and breakfast bar equipped with everything you could possibly need – electric oven and hob, microwave, coffee maker, a large American-style fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, plus table football in the lounge area.
There's a family bathroom upstairs and downstairs shower and toilet, while outside the private garden overlooks the sea and has a six-person hot tub. All in all it's a thoroughly stylish seaside bolthole. But perhaps the best thing about Seascape is its location: you're just a short walk from Birchington and the beach at Minnis Bay, while there are also three smaller beaches nearby, surrounded by chalk cliffs, cliff stacks and caves. They also accept dogs by prior arrangement. At just an hour or so's drive from London, what more could you want?
