Luxury glamping in a glorious Isle of Wight location.

Tom's Eco Lodge

Tapnell Farm Newport Road Isle of Wight PO41 0YL 07717666346

We say

Glamping at its best, Tom's Eco Lodge – the sister business of Tapnell Farm Cottages – offers you the chance to experience the joys of camping without the hassle, with a mixture of five luxurious Safari Tents, two well appointed cabins and two cosy pods each nestled away in the glorious surroundings of Tapnell Farm on the Isle of Wight. Also, they've recently added bespoke cabins they call modulogs with their very own hot tubs, electricity and kitchen, a very cosy addition. The safari tents offer accommodation for up to 8 people and offer year-round glamping, with central heating and insulation to keep you nice and warm in the winter. Each cabin has its own west facing terrace to soak up the afternoon sun and to capture the spectacular sunsets and comes complete with a spacious dining room, cosy beds with electric blanket (including bunk beds and cabin beds for the kids), hot showers and a flushing loo – plus a fire pit to roast your marshmallows and a log burning oven to curl up next to. There are also picnic tables, a communal pizza oven and lawned area for games. On a clear day you can see down to the north coast, while a long distance footpath passes right through the grounds. The cabins sleep up to 10 people, while the pods are perfect for a couple, or snug for a family of four, with a double bed and a sofa bed. Each is fully insulated and has central heating, as well as as a well equipped kitchenette and decked barbecue area. No need to venture outside when nature calls – each also has its own private shower room. All in all the perfect place for a glamping holiday on the Isle of Wight.

They say

Luxurious Glamping that doesn't cost the Earth! Tom's Eco Lodge is the perfect location for an adventurous or relaxing family holiday, group get together or romantic hideaway. The Island is easily accessible from England and boasts the most sun in the UK, so you can soak it up on the beach or at your lodge! The farm is set upon a historic site which boasts panoramic sea views both north and south.

The local area

The great thing about being a small island is that you are never far from the coastline, with its many miles of great beaches to discover. Whether you are looking to play, relax, walk, ride, sail, surf, kite or swim there are beaches for you. Our local favourites are Compton and Freshwater Bay. For food and drink lovers, great pubs, cafes, farm shops, vineyards and tasty restaurants welcome you all over the Island. Some of the most inspiring 'creative’s' in history once lived on or visited the Isle of Wight, from Tennyson and Shakespeare to Julia Margaret Cameron and Lewis Carroll. It is said that Shakespeare was inspired by Freshwater Bay and started writing 'The Tempest' whilst looking out over the breathtaking coastline.
