Tucked away on the western tip of the island, this B&B and pub combines cosy accommodation with fantastic seafood and game in the bar-restaurant and a way with bacon in the mornings that will make you beg for seconds. Both the owners and staff are unpretentious and welcoming, making their pub a real favourite with locals as well as walkers and cyclists passing through. There’s a fine quiz night on Sundays, real ales on tap and a roaring fire through the winter months – proper pub basically, but one that you can stay the night. Keep an eye on the daily blackboard for seasonal meals, particularly their game specialities. A real hidden gem, plus they also rent a number of holiday cottages.
