Smart, modern decor with a robust nautical theme pairs nicely with the views from the beachside terrace. Along with separate lunch, afternoon and dinner menus, they’re not shirking in the kitchen, and there’s plenty to choose from. Although it’s far from highly priced, you can expect the very best seafood and a sense that the gastropub label has life in it yet. Check out the daily specials board, which has rare offerings such as local Brownrigg Duck, and local lobster is usually available too (around £18 for a half).
