Alfie's very much is a clean-and-tidy pub tinged with the ambience of a local's spit-and-sawdust which caters for a wide range of ages. There is a mixture of people stopping for a drink (or two) and for food as well. The beer prices are slightly above average which most of the pubs are by the Guildhall, though there is a range of different drinks on tap and in the fridge. The service is good and the menu presents basic pub food though some effort has gone into making it better than average; the food itself is average portioned and good.
