A truly unique abode that combines pottery workshops, next door, with charming, individually designed accommodation and a showman's wagon in the garden.
In the converted old stables of a Victorian manor house, this unique and charming bed and breakfast is the perfect abode for those heading to the Hampshire coast. Though partnered with the pottery workshops that run next door, guests don't need to be up-and-coming ceramic craftsmen and even if you forego the opportunity for David's expert tuition, the prime location in Milford on Sea makes this a winning place to stay. The cobalt blue exterior only enhances that whimsical sea-side feel, while inside the exposed beams of the hayloft remind you of the buildings working history. The hayloft is one of three rooms available, self contained and accessed via an external spiral staircase. Below is the larger garden suite where a kingsized bed can be accompanied by two singles, easily accommodating a family of four, with the en-suite bathroom boasting both a bath and an excellent shower. During the summer months, however, the third room is perhaps the most unique and delightful of your options - a wonderfully restored showman's wagon that offers a glamping haven for the more adventurous holiday makers. Hand painted by one of the last trained gypsy wagon painters in the country, this 1880s antique is the real deal and lacks only a horse stumbling back out of the stable. Alas, you won't find the horses jostling here anymore but this crafty B&B couldn't be a better use of the stable space - a Hampshire gem that deserves the high acclaim you'll find in every travel mag.
