Sister pub to the equally revered Dyke Pub & Kitchen on Dyke Road, this refurb of a Hove boozer is a big favourite with locals, not just for its lovely menu of fresh, organic and delicious food from which you can eat as much or as little as you like – they do thoughtful and high quality versions of pub classics (great steaks, burgers, ham egg & chips) along with scrumptious starters like rarebit crostini and pork rillette and black pudding terrine – but also for its relaxed, anything-goes vibe. Dogs are welcome in the bar where you can eat, and it's a great spot for a slap-up breakfast at weekends; plus there's a nice a nice garden.
