In a tranquil conservation area, Chalfield Manor is the personal project of owners Dexter and Otilia, who fell in love with the beautiful Edwardian villa as soon as they saw it. Lovingly renovated, the manor now offers contemporary comforts but has kept many of the original fittings: the stone floors, stained glass and soaring ceilings of the reception set the tone. You'll also find a cosy bar, games room cum library plus an outside bar patio. The bedrooms are more contemporary, with flatscreen TVs, comfy beds and oak furniture specially made in nearby Poole. Each room has its own style, generous in size and bathed in light from high windows, with walk in showers or baths. There's wifi throughout, and the small ornate garden even boasts a pétanque court – though Boscombe's fine beach is just a ten-minute stroll away.
