Bournemouth has a dearth of quality ethnic cuisine so Levant is a welcome addition to the scene, offering superb Lebanese food in a bright and contemporary space which scoops up a few of the clubbers heading up the Old Christchurch Road thanks to its Shisha garden at the back. Most of the clientele, however, visit for the excellent and fresh Lebanese dishes which include a selection of tasty mezza – a wonderfully smoky baba ghanouj, sumptuous broad beans with garlic and creamy cheese pies – and mains such as chicken skewers and mixed grilled meats. Don't miss the nutty baclava for dessert, and round if off with a cardamon-flavoured Arabic coffee.
