Farmer Palmer makes a great day out for families with children aged eight or under. The farm produces its own milk and the day is punctuated with animal feeding sessions and milking demonstrations, tractor rides and the chance to pet smaller animals, and you can break the day up with woodland walks in the countryside around. There’s also plenty to do in bad weather, with covered play areas, straw mountains and pedal carts as well as a selection of bouncy castles – as well as a decent café-restaurant.
