Rise Café and Bar

A lovely, light and airy restaurant with river views that specializes in fresh fish and seafood. The menu changes daily according to the catch, but you can expect the likes of Lyme Bay Dover sole, John Dory or plaice, all simply grilled whole with sea salt, lemon and butter. If you fancy pushing the boat out, you can opt for one of the shellfish platters, crammed with lobster, crab, langoustines, prawns, mussels, oysters and clams. The restaurant is child-friendly and very popular – it’s a Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall favourite – so best book ahead, especially in summer.
