Kents Cavern is a breath taking cave system in Torquay. Created by water action the caves date back to around 2 million years ago. The caves were shared by animal and humans, often without knowledge of the others presence. The cave tour is very, very good, full of information and interactive opportunities. They also hold themed events, i.e. halloween, easter etc. In the cave you will get a sense of how our ancestors would have lived and the conditions have had to overcome to survive. The caves are surrounded by beautiful gardens, ideal for a picnic on a sunny day. Kents Cavern is for all the family, a great day out and a must if you are in the area.
