North Devon in a nutshell. With its low beams, swirly carpets and good pub-grub menu, the Thatch appears every inch the traditional Devon boozer. Then the weekend swings around and it becomes a focus of local nightlife, the bar area a scrum of surfers and holidaymakers. There are numerous lagers and ciders on tap and touring blues and folk artists to get things started on Friday nights. It's a local pub cum party outhouse and has bags of atmoshpere.
We went here one evening on a camping/surfing trip with a group of friends (9 of us).
The atmosphere was brilliant and it was so warm and cosy in there. The cocktails were also brilliant- we had them specially made for us (they don't make them as a rule!) =D
