We say

Situated on the edge of the centre of Barnstaple, this luxury bed & breakfast is one of our favourite places to stay in this part of North Devon – very easy to get to, tucked away above Barnstaple town centre, and also extremely handy for Braunton, Saunton Sands, Croyde and the rest of this glorious corner of the country. It's also great value, with just three handsomely kitted-out rooms that vary from the simpler comforts of the smallest Courtyard Room to the largest Provencale Room, which has a king-size French-style bed, beautiful big windows, and its own bathroom (not technically en-suite) with a claw-foot bath and power-shower. Upstairs, the Attic Suite occupies the whole of the upper floor of the house and has its own sitting room lined with books, a bedroom with king-size bed with the same high-quality linen – duck/feather down pillows and duvets, etc – and a beautifully appointed en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and double-ended bath. Whichever room you stay in, you get the same thoughtfully provided 'extras' – tea and coffee, cookies and old-fashioned sweets, fluffy white towels and cosy bathrobes, a mini fridge, hairdryer and flat screen TV and DVD player, designer toiletries and lots of books and magazines. They also provide a cream tea on arrival just to really get you in the Devonshire spirit as well as other occasional surprise luxuries, while breakfasts are excellent and mainly locally sourced. A very comfy spot indeed – and great value too.
