Quirky and memorable, this little gem nestled beside the market place in Crediton, Devon, will make you gasp as you enter. The outside is covered in bright and glossy green ivy and is eye-catching in the sun. Either sit outside (if the weather's nice enough) or go inside and sit amongst the nick nacks that hang, drape the bar or climb up the walls. They serve good, locally sourced, homemade food and the service, I've found, is always friendly. Trust me, you won't run out of conversation in this place as the hubbub of decoration is a real talking point.
