Tucked away on the edge of its village, this is a fabulous, friendly, boutique country house hotel in Elterwater, with a deliberately relaxed atmosphere atmosphere and wonderful food. Views from the hotel are stunning, even those from the car park. Inside is all high ceilings and tasteful decor, with nicely decorated bedrooms that offer a range of pricing options from the classic to a luxurious suite with deep roll top bath. They have 12 rooms in all, of which 3 are dog-friendly (beds and bowls provided); dogs are only permitted to be left alone in the room if they are crated but the ample grounds surrounding the hotel offer the perfect spot for a quick breath of fresh air whenever you need it. Beds and treats are available on arrival.
Dogs are allowed in the bar area, but not in the dining room, which offers a great choice of locally sourced food. The bar area
is comfortable and cosy with a large fire roaring away in the hearth throughout
the winter months and a range of local beers and spirits available to warm you
from the inside out. For
something a little extra special, all guests also have free access to the spa
at Langdale Estates, just five minutes drive down the road, where you can enjoy
a swim in the pool or simply chill out in the steam room.
