After a spot of rock-pooling at Greenaway beach, a long, lazy lunch is the order of the day at Sea Side, where food is served all afternoon. Sitting by the pool, the Atlantic in view in the distance, the experience is akin to an afternoon in the Med – at least if the weather plays ball. The menu is light and casual, with fresh fish (landed daily at nearby Porth Isaac and Newlyn), alongside antipasti and succulent steaks. A firm favourite with families, even the children are encouraged to feel like grown-ups as they sip ‘mocktails’ and dine on grilled seafood; then there’s plenty of space to run around outside while the adults reach for the Cornish cheeses and another glass of wine. Well, you’re on holiday, after all.
