Brand-new, high-end luxury cottages and lodges just a few minutes' walk from the beach.
Constantine Bay, Cornwall PL28 8JQ 001841520550
Standing on land where there was
once an orchard and market garden, these brand-new, self-catering lodges are tailor-made
for families and groups wanting to lap up North Cornwall’s beach life. There are
seven idyllic bays within easy reach, the closest of which is wave-lashed
Constantine, just a short walk away. Hit the surf or the South West Coast Path,
tee off on the scenic golf course or cycle the Camel Trail to foodie Padstow,
then sink into the hot tub back at your swanky holiday pad; this really is a dose
of Kernow-fornia at its best.
More New England in their architectural style and décor, each of the seven lodges is huddled around a sensory garden – and there are also two larger, luxury cottages for bigger groups. Once you’ve thrown your beach gear in the utility room it’s easy to embrace barefoot coastal living and savour the luxury of plump sofas, sumptuous bedrooms, a Jack and Jill family bathroom, walk-in shower room, and a spacious open-plan living and dining area made for group entertaining. Indoor/ outdoor living melds through the bi-fold doors, and while roaming dogs and toddlers are easily hemmed in with the gated (and lockable) decks, older kids can hunker down with board games, smart TVs and Blue-Ray players. Once you’ve raided the welcome bag of Cornish goodies it’s up to you whether you with light the barbecue or cook up a storm in your stylish kitchen; or you might prefer to slip into the hot tub for an aperitif before dinner in one of many gourmet hotspots nearby.
