It was a shame when the arty Poly cinema closed down in Falmouth, but the new five-screen Phoenix has proved to be an excellent film venue in this creative town. As well as state-of-the-art facilities, and three luxury, licensed screens with waiter service, it also screens alternative cinema and bargain shows alongside mainstream releases. Don't be put off by its rather tired exterior, its a top place to go on a rainy day and has films for every taste.
