We say

Hidden on a backstreet north of Parker’s Piece (behind the police station), this tiny pub is as local as it gets: just three rooms, an older academic clientele and excellent fresh ales. As you'd imagine the menu is short and traditional but offers extremely good food. If you spent the day pacing the cobbled streets with small crowds this is a good place to escape without having to walk for miles. A pub that could almost be called 'back to basics' but is none the worse for it. No flashy fittings, no fruit machines, no mobile phones and no muzak – amen to that.
