Ashton Court is Bristol’s largest and most impressive country house estate, just over the Suspension Bridge in Clifton. Whether you want a country walk, a picnic, a game of pitch-and-putt, or just fancy taking the dog for a walk, it’s ideal for all. There is a large fenced deer park and plenty of room to roam. In the summer the estate hosts festivals including the annual Balloon Fiesta and a kite festival. It’s also known to many people in the city as the former setting of the Ashton Court music festival, which used to celebrate the finest music in the area each summer; rumours are rife that it will return.
