Run by the Reading International Solidarity Centre, this hippy hub is friendly, relaxed and the only place in Reading to sample some delicious Ethiopian grub. The café offers lunch and dinner with food prepared and cooked by Ethiopian-born Tutu Melaku. But this is more than just a café that sells tasty food and fairly traded tea and coffee. There are poetry competitions, roof garden parties and workshops, all held at the café to raise awareness of global issues. It is also fully licensed, with frequent live music events ranging from jazz to reggae. Free wifi too.
